Many children in government schools and anganwadis come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. At Lakshmi Ring Travellers Coimbatore Private Limited (LRT), we believe every child deserves access to quality education in a safe, inclusive, and well-equipped environment. As part of our commitment, we have adopted five Government schools and anganwadi centres in the Sulur block. Our Vision is to make schooling a happy one, thus we named our Project “Happy Schools” benefitting more than 10,000 students.
Our approach to education is holistic—focusing not only on infrastructure but also on the overall development of students. We strengthen schools through infrastructure enhancement, including improved classrooms and the introduction of smart learning facilities to create engaging and effective learning environments.
Beyond infrastructure, we support students through scholarships, provision of exam papers to reduce financial burden, and continuous academic encouragement. For over five years, we have reached approximately 500 students annually through these initiatives.
We place strong emphasis on holistic development, implementing programs such as menstrual health and nutrition awareness, life skills training, and vocational skill development. Through initiatives like student parliaments, we nurture leadership qualities and civic responsibility among students.
To further strengthen the education ecosystem, we support schools by facilitating PTA teachers and engaging professionals such as social workers, psychologists, skill trainers, and nutritionists—ensuring the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students while working to reduce dropout rates.
Our commitment also extends to early childhood care through the transformation of anganwadis into child-friendly learning spaces. This includes renovation of centres, improved sanitation, development of play areas and compound walls, extension of entrance sheds, and provision of essentials such as mosquito nets, proper doors and windows, and upgraded kitchen facilities. The centres are further enhanced with vibrant paintings and mural art, along with Montessori-based learning and play materials to support early childhood development.
Through these comprehensive efforts, LRT continues to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and inclusive growth.
At Lakshmi Ring Travellers Coimbatore Private Limited (LRT), we are committed to transforming community health by ensuring access to quality healthcare, improved sanitation, and holistic well-being. We actively support the upgrading and equipping of Primary Health Centres (PHCs), creating safe, hygienic, and patient-friendly environments that enhance healthcare delivery and save lives. Our efforts also focus on eradicating open defecation by developing sanitation infrastructure across underserved communities, villages, and schools—promoting dignity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Through regular multi-speciality medical camps, we provide essential health services, including screenings, treatments, medicines, and nutrition support to vulnerable populations. We extend targeted support to tuberculosis patients, contributing to improved treatment adherence and recovery outcomes. We act as a support pillar in contributing to health during disasters and pandemics.
Recognising the importance of mental well-being, we conduct initiatives that promote emotional health among elders, students, and communities, fostering resilience and overall quality of life.
Lakshmi Ring Travellers Coimbatore Private Limited (LRT) believes that true empowerment lies in enabling economic independence and sustainable livelihoods for underserved communities. As part of our CSR initiatives, we focus on identifying individuals with potential and supporting them in their entrepreneurial journey—from skill recognition to business establishment and growth.
We provide financial assistance for setting up micro-enterprises, facilitate access to relevant government schemes, and offer training in business management, financial literacy, and market readiness. Our engagement goes beyond initial support, as we continuously mentor, monitor, and guide beneficiaries to strengthen and expand their enterprises, while also assisting them in sales and marketing. Through these efforts, we have enabled a wide range of livelihood opportunities, including flower shops, petty shops, dairy units, goat rearing, water supply services, farming activities, and value-added product manufacturing.
In the year 2025–26 alone, nearly 60 individuals were supported in establishing their own businesses, leading to improved income stability and quality of life. As part of our commitment to inclusive development, LRT has also established a flagship laundry unit for persons with hearing and speech impairment, creating dignified employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive and self-reliant community.
Sustainability is at the core of our operations. We drive impactful initiatives in environmental conservation and afforestation, creating inclusive green spaces through community-led plantation drives. Our efforts focus on reducing plastic usage by promoting eco-friendly alternatives and raising awareness on sustainable living. We also rejuvenate ponds to restore water resources and support ecological balance—building a greener, more sustainable future.
We play a key role in preserving cultural heritage by supporting the restoration of historical sites and monuments. Through our efforts, we aim to protect and sustain their legacy, ensuring that these cultural treasures continue to inspire future generations.
